On October 15, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the investment project to build and upgrade Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Son La City.
The project is invested by the People's Committee of Son La City with the goal of completing the technical infrastructure system according to the planning, urban embellishment, and gradually moving towards completing the criteria of a type I urban area.
The length of the route is invested in construction of 1.16km with a total investment of 17 billion VND. The capital source is from the additional source of balancing the provincial budget. The project implementation progress is from 2024-2025.
In which, the main route (700m long), the starting point intersects with National Highway 6 at Km301+920; the end point of Hoang Quoc Viet road borders Me Ban village, Chieng Coi ward.
Branch line 1 (180m long), starting point intersects with Hoang Quoc Viet street at Km0+365.2; ending point connects with Provincial Tax Branch and Ngoc Linh Primary School (towards Northwest Square).
Branch line 2 (140m long), starting point intersects with Hoang Quoc Viet street at Km0+122.8; ending point connects with the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Son La province.
Branch line 3 (140m long), starting point intersects with Hoang Quoc Viet street at Km0+82.9; ending point connects residential area group 4, Quyet Thang ward.
The project will upgrade and repair the existing road surface, asphalt concrete pavement; upgrade and pave sidewalks; replace and add curbs and tree beds; dredge and repair longitudinal ditches, traffic safety systems and a number of other items.
On October 15, according to Lao Dong Newspaper, Hoang Quoc Viet Street is located in the center of Son La city, about 500 meters from the administrative center of Son La province. The road surface is currently concrete.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nam (42 years old, residing in Son La City) shared that when they heard the news that the road was about to be upgraded and renovated, everyone was excited, hoping that the project would soon be implemented, creating a more spacious appearance for Son La City.
