On the morning of October 22, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ngu Phuc commune (Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province) said that at around 8:00 p.m. on October 21, a large fire broke out at Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited in Duong Mong village.
The fire started from the piles of scrap piled outside, in front of the company's factory and spread to other piles of scrap.
At the time of the fire, there was no one in the company. At 9:00 p.m. the same day, a fire truck from the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Search and Rescue Police Department of Hai Duong Province arrived at the scene and deployed to put out the fire.
By 9:30 p.m., the fire had spread and burned the entire wood-plastic manufacturing factory with nearly 5,000 square meters next door.
From the night of October 21 to the early morning of October 22, officers, soldiers and many fire trucks of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Search and Rescue Police Department of Hai Duong Provincial Police actively deployed and extinguished the fire.
By 2am on October 22, the fire had been completely extinguished. Currently, the local authorities of Ngu Phuc commune have sent people to the scene to ensure the fire does not flare up again.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, the fire caused the entire 5,000 m2 factory of Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited and nearly 5,000 m2 factory of a wood plastic manufacturing enterprise next door to burn down and collapse completely. The fire did not cause any human casualties.
Currently, authorities are still investigating the cause and estimating the damage after the fire.
