The rest stop is at Km205+902 on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, through Ham Thuan Bac commune, Lam Dong province.
This location is arranged with two stations on the right and left sides of the expressway, each side with an area of about 5ha. The total investment of the project is more than 385 billion VND.
On January 25, Mr. Pham Quoc Huy - Deputy Director of Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Construction) - said that from January 26, both rest stops at Km205 will simultaneously be put into operation to serve the essential needs of people and passengers traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
Recorded at the project, to date, the investor has completed many main items such as toilets, highway access roads, parking lots, service areas and gas station areas.
Some items are prioritized to be put into operation soon to meet urgent needs during the upcoming Lunar New Year.
Specifically, sanitation areas, parking lots and food services will be exploited first. The gas station and electric vehicle charging area, although basically completed, are still waiting to complete licensing procedures according to regulations.
From now until Tet, the unit will try to complete the procedures for the gas station and electric vehicle charging station to be licensed to operate, and soon serve the people," Mr. Pham Quoc Huy said.
In parallel with exploitation, the investor continues to complete the entire project. It is expected that by April 2026, the Km205 rest stop on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway will be completed.
Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is more than 100.8km long, passing through Lam Dong province, opened to traffic and put into operation from May 2023.
According to the plan, this expressway has two construction locations for rest stops.
Currently, the rest stop at Km144+560 (Vinh Hao commune) has not yet been fully handed over to the investor to deploy construction.
