On August 20, Mr. Trinh Quang Hoa - Deputy Director of Da Nang Railway signal information Joint Stock Company confirmed that the unit is coordinating with Binh Tri Thien Railway signal information Enterprise to clarify the incident of the railway barrier automatically being lifted when the train was approaching.
According to Mr. Hoa, the above incident occurred at the train barrier at Km 623+750 of the North-South route.
The initial cause was determined to be that the sensing system at the level was interrupted, leading to the barrier opening earlier than the safety procedure.
Currently, relevant units are conducting detailed inspections to determine the exact cause and have a thorough solution. In the immediate future, people have been sent to be on duty at this automatic barrier.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at 8:55 p.m. on August 19, the automatic barrier on Nguyen Huu Khieu Street (Nam Dong Ha Ward, Quang Tri Province) was suddenly raised when the train was approaching. Fortunately, the vehicles stopped in time, and there were no accidents.
This incident was recorded by a driver with a camera and posted on social media to warn road users to be cautious.
