World gasoline prices today
World gasoline prices in today's trading session, July 18 (Vietnam time), simultaneously decreased. WTI crude oil was at 81.88 USD/barrel, up 0.44 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.54%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 81.44 USD/barrel, opening today's session at a price of 81.60 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 85.41 USD/barrel, up 0.23 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.27%. Brent oil closed the previous session at 85.18 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 85.18 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, recent data has signaled a slowdown in growth in the US, the euro area and China. Central banks are getting closer to cutting interest rates in earnest.
The Fed has raised interest rates sharply in 2022 and 2023 to rein in soaring inflation. Rising borrowing costs for consumers and businesses slow economic growth and reduce demand for oil. So, upcoming lower interest rates could boost oil demand.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On July 18, retail gasoline prices according to Petrolimex's announced price list in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above mentioned domestic retail gasoline price was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade at the price management session on the afternoon of July 11. Accordingly, the price of diesel dropped the most, 342 VND/liter, followed by RON 95-III gasoline, down 258 VND/liter. E5 RON 92 gasoline reduced less, 179 VND/liter; Kerosene decreased by 178 VND/liter. Fuel oil increased by 250 VND/kg.

Discounted prices of petroleum products today, July 18, at some domestic petroleum agents are as follows:
PVOil applies discount rates on July 18: RON 95-III gasoline: Oil discount 1,500 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,450 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,400 VND/liter. This discount is applied at PVOil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai warehouse, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc gasoline discount on July 18 is as follows: Oil discount: 1,450 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,400 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on July 18: Gasoline 95: 1,300 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; Oil: 1,650 VND/liter.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that during this afternoon's price adjustment period, gasoline prices will continue to decrease. In which gasoline decreased by 100-200 VND/liter, oil decreased by 200-300 VND/liter.
From the beginning of the year until now, since the price management session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 12 times. Oil products increased 15 times and decreased 13 times.
