World oil prices today
World oil prices increased across the board in today's trading session, September 6 (Vietnam time). WTI crude oil was at $69.23/barrel, up $0.10/barrel, or 0.14%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $69.15/barrel and opened today's session at $69.38/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $72.78 a barrel, up $0.09 a barrel, or 0.12 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $72.69 a barrel and opened today at $72.81 a barrel.
Thus, the world oil price today has increased again after a slight decrease in yesterday's trading session. With the sharp decline in recent trading sessions, over the past year, Brent oil price has decreased by 19.7% and WTI crude oil has decreased by 20.2%. Brent oil price is currently at its lowest level in the past 14 months and WTI oil price is at its lowest level in nearly 9 months.
According to Reuters, OPEC+ has agreed to postpone plans to increase oil production in October and November but can continue to pause or reverse the production increase if necessary.
According to the US Energy Information Administration, US oil inventories fell by 6.9 million barrels last week, nearly seven times higher than analysts' forecast of a 1 million barrel drop and lower than the American Petroleum Institute's previous report of a 7.4 million barrel drop.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On September 6, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of September 5. Accordingly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 353 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 282 VND/liter, diesel oil decreased by 385 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 341 VND/liter. The price of fuel oil decreased the most, by 407 VND/kg.

Discount prices of petroleum products today, September 6, at some domestic petroleum dealers are as follows:
Pvoil applies discount rates on September 6: Oil discount of VND1,600/liter; RON 95-III gasoline: VND1,600/liter; E5 gasoline: VND1,200/liter. This discount rate is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on September 6 as follows: Oil discount: 1,550 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,550 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on September 6: RON 95 - III discount: 1,400 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter; oil: 1,600 VND/liter at Mipec warehouse
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices may have opposite adjustments.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 18 times. Oil prices have increased 16 times and decreased 19 times.
