On January 31, Sub-Department of Customs Region III organized a Conference to deploy tasks for 2026.
In 2025, despite facing many difficulties, Sub-Department of Customs Region III excellently completed its task with state budget revenue reaching a record 86,566 billion VND, an increase of nearly 30% compared to 2024. The unit coordinated to collect seaport infrastructure fees reaching 1,502 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 11.3%. In particular, the unit has drastically handled many backlog cases, cleared more than 1,200 containers of old tires at the port, contributing to unblocking logistics infrastructure.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Van Quan; Deputy Director of the Customs Department Luu Manh Tuong praised the efforts of the Sub-Department collective. At the same time, he emphasized that the key task for 2026 of the Sub-Department is to complete the budget revenue target of 84,200 billion VND.
To achieve this goal, the Sub-Department is accelerating the roadmap for building Digital Customs and Smart Customs to shorten customs clearance time; proactively guiding businesses to effectively implement Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and promptly remove obstacles for units affected by policy changes in major markets. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen public service discipline and resolutely fight against trade fraud, especially during the peak period of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
At the conference, representatives of teams and units under the Sub-Department signed an emulation agreement for 2026, striving to complete and exceed the set targets.
