Many Nghe An transport businesses have not reduced freight rates

Although gasoline and oil prices have decreased, so far, in Nghe An, only passenger transport units by bus and 4 fixed-route transport enterprises have declared fare reductions. Many remaining enterprises have not yet adjusted prices according to regulations.
Nghe An Department of Construction said that it has requested businesses to review costs, especially fuel costs, to develop appropriate fare reduction plans. GDP in the first 6 months increased by 8.18%, the highest since 2011
The Ministry of Finance said that Vietnam's socio-economy in the first 6 months of 2026 achieved many positive results despite the unstable world context. GDP increased by 8.18% - the highest since 2011, inflation was controlled at 4.38%; budget revenue reached nearly 1.62 million billion VND, public investment disbursement reached about 357 trillion VND, while ensuring stable electricity and gasoline supply.
Many sectors continue to record positive results such as institutional reform, infrastructure development, digital transformation, social security and foreign affairs. However, the economy still faces inflationary pressure, slow disbursement of public investment, high trade deficit and challenges from energy price fluctuations and natural disasters.
In the last 6 months of the year, the Ministry of Finance will coordinate to manage fiscal and monetary policies to support growth, promote disbursement of public investment, develop domestic businesses and markets, selectively attract FDI, improve institutions, develop infrastructure, science and technology and improve the quality of social security.
