On July 14, information from the Transport Management Department, Nghe An Department of Construction said that so far only bus passenger transport business units and 4 fixed-route transport enterprises have declared fare reductions.
4 fixed-route transport enterprises have declared fare reductions, including: Van Minh Co., Ltd., Vinh Automobile Trading and Service Co., Ltd., Thach Thanh Tourism and Trading Transport Co., Ltd., Thanh Hong Son Co., Ltd.
However, many transport businesses have not yet declared to adjust fare reductions.
According to the list from functional agencies, transport business units that have not yet reduced freight rates include: Dung Anh Transport and Tourism Service Co., Ltd., located in hamlet 4, Yen Thanh commune; Nam Quynh Anh Co., Ltd., located at 198C Truong Chinh street, Thanh Vinh ward; Cuong Long Transport and Tourism Service Co., Ltd., located in block 3, Yen Thanh commune.

In addition, there are Hoang Hai Trading and Transport Service Co., Ltd., address Lo hamlet, Van Tu commune; Su Chuyen Transport Service Cooperative, fixed route, address Phu Thinh village, Quynh Anh commune; Quy Duong Hung Co., Ltd., address hamlet 1, Anh Son Dong commune; Ba Thuy Joint Stock Company, address block 250, Tay Hieu ward.
Previously, to ensure that freight rates accurately reflect the fluctuations of fuel costs, on June 26, 2026, the Nghe An Department of Construction issued Document No. 5352, requesting transport businesses to proactively develop plans and declare fare reductions in accordance with the reduction in fuel prices.
However, according to the assessment of the Nghe An Department of Construction, the implementation progress of enterprises is still slow. Most of the remaining transport business units have not yet implemented the declaration and adjustment of prices according to regulations.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Head of Transport Management Department, Nghe An Department of Construction - said that adjusting freight rates when fuel prices decrease is a mandatory requirement to ensure transparency in transport business activities.
For transport businesses that have not reduced fares, in the immediate future, we will propagate and mobilize businesses to proactively review and adjust fare reductions appropriately. In case of intentional non-reduction, we will inspect and handle violations (if any)" - Mr. Tuan said.
According to Mr. Tuan, fuel costs account for a large proportion of the transportation cost structure. When fuel prices decrease, businesses need to proactively review and calculate to adjust freight rates appropriately.
This not only ensures the rights of passengers but also contributes to building a fair and transparent business environment and creating trust for people in transport businesses," Mr. Tuan added.
The Nghe An Department of Construction requests units to urgently review the cost structure, especially fuel costs, to determine the freight price adjustment level suitable to the reduction of input costs.
Price adjustment must ensure accurate reflection of actual costs, commensurate with fluctuations in fuel prices and fully comply with the provisions of law on prices.
In addition to price adjustments, the Nghe An Department of Construction also requires transport enterprises to fully implement the declaration, listing and application of new freight rates according to regulations; coordinate with bus station service business units to publicly list fares before selling to passengers.
For bus station business units, the Nghe An Department of Construction requires publicly listing ticket prices at ticket counters, organizing ticket sales at the correct prices declared by transport businesses, and preventing the situation of collecting higher than the listed price, affecting passenger rights.
According to the assignment of the Nghe An Department of Construction, the Transport Management Department is the unit in charge of monitoring and summarizing the implementation situation, regularly inspecting and urging businesses; and at the same time advising on handling measures for cases of late declaration or intentionally not adjusting freight rates according to regulations.
