A survey of interest rates of more than 30 banks shows that some banks still maintain special interest rate programs for customers with very large deposits for terms from 12.
In the group of banks listing the highest interest rates in the market, PVcomBank leads with an interest rate of 10%/year for 12-13 month term deposits, receiving interest at the end of the term. However, this interest rate is only applied to customers who deposit money at the counter with amounts from 2,000 billion VND or more.
Under normal conditions, the interest rate for a 12-month term, receiving interest at the end of the term at PVcomBank is 5.3%/year.
Next is MSB with an interest rate of 9%/year for 12- or 13-month term deposits. The applicable condition is that the newly opened or opened savings book from January 1, 2018 is automatically renewed, and has a minimum balance of 500 billion VND.
Cake by VPBank is listing 6-month term interest rates at a normal rate of 7.2%/year when customers receive interest at the end of the term. When customers receive interest at the beginning of the term, monthly and quarterly, they will receive interest rates of 6.78%, 7.02% and 7.09%/year respectively.
Cake by VPBank is offering an additional 1.8% interest rate, applicable to customers depositing money for the first time, standard deposit products and accumulated deposits on the CAKE BANK application, with amounts from 100,000 VND, term of 6-12 months. Plus this preferential interest rate, customers depositing money for a 6-month term can receive an interest rate of up to 9%; for Cake by VPBank's 10-12 month terms, the actual received interest rate can be up to 9.2%.
Similarly, HDBank applies a special interest rate of 7.2%/year for a 12-month term and 7.6%/year for a 13-month term for customers depositing from 500 billion VND or more, receiving interest at the end of the term.
