Lao Cai - The province brings many typical products to participate in the 10th China - South Asia Fair, expanding opportunities to connect partners and promote exports.

On the morning of June 11, at the Dien Tri International Convention and Exhibition Center (Kunming city, Yunnan province, China), the opening ceremony of the 10th China - South Asia Fair and the 30th Kunming Import-Export Goods Fair took place.

The event takes place from June 11-16 on a large scale, including 15 exhibition areas on an area of about 160,000m2, more than 8,500 standard booths and the participation of over 2,000 businesses from more than 60 countries and territories.

The Vietnamese delegation attending the opening ceremony was headed by Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, along with representatives of the Vietnamese Consulate General in China and the Vietnamese Trade Office in China.

The Southeast Asian countries booth area has 221 participating businesses with 380 booths. Vietnam alone has 57 businesses participating at 124 booths.

Participating in this year's fair, Lao Cai province organizes 4 booths chaired by the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center with the theme "Lao Cai - Connection and Development".

The display space is modernly designed, introducing many typical products, processed agricultural products, OCOP products and items with export strengths of the locality.

Right on the opening day, Lao Cai's booth attracted a large number of visitors, businesses and international partners to learn about products, exchange market information and connect trade.

Participating in the fair is an opportunity for Lao Cai to promote its image, potential and economic strengths to international partners. At the same time, it creates conditions for local businesses to find new markets and expand output for key products.

Through the event, businesses in the province also have more opportunities to strengthen connections with Chinese businesses and countries in the region, promoting import and export activities through border gates in the area.

This is also an opportunity to contribute to improving the effectiveness of economic and trade cooperation between Lao Cai and Yunnan province and other localities of China.

Within the framework of the fair, on June 12, the Vietnam Coffee Industry Business Trade Conference will take place, organized by the Hong Ha Chau Trade Department in coordination with the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam) and the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Lao Cai province.

The conference is expected to have more than 150 delegates attending, including 35 Vietnamese coffee enterprises and over 80 Chinese coffee production and trading enterprises.

The activity is expected to strengthen supply-demand connections, expand consumption markets and promote trade cooperation between businesses of the two countries in the coffee sector.
