Recently, Tax Base 1 of Khanh Hoa province issued a document resolving the petition and reflection of Mr. T.B. G (resident of Ninh Hoa ward) related to the incident of showing financial obligations on the eTax Mobile application.
Previously, reflecting through the Khanh Hoa Provincial Electronic Information Portal, Mr. G said that he had paid the full amount for 3 land use purpose conversion dossiers.
However, the eTax Mobile application still continues to display the amount to be paid with a total amount of more than 11 million VND.
When he came to Tax Base 1 of Khanh Hoa province to request an inspection, Mr. G received a request to bring the money payment documents himself to compare.
Believing that this regulation is unreasonable because payment data has been through banks, the State Treasury and the management system, and virtual debt suspension on the app causes confusion and affects land procedures, Mr. Giang sent a reflection to functional agencies.
Answering citizens' reflections, Mr. Tran Van Hoa - Head of Tax Facility 1 - signed a document confirming that Mr. T.B. G has fully fulfilled his financial obligations for all 3 land use purpose conversion dossiers in 2025.
Explaining the reason why eTax Mobile still displays the debt, the tax authority said: Through review and determination, for each dossier and payment voucher transferred by the bank to record some vouchers, there are up to 2 lines of data matching the amount of money.
Meanwhile, the Registration Fee application can only update 1 data line. This mismatch leads to the eTax Mobile application still reporting debt even though people have paid enough money.
On the Centralized Tax Administration Application System (TMS), the tax authority recognizes that citizens have fulfilled their obligations.
After receiving feedback, tax officials updated and supplemented information on the Registration Fee application. To date, the above-mentioned virtual debts have been completely removed from the system.
To avoid repeating similar incidents, the Tax Base 1 of Khanh Hoa province is coordinating and proposing banks to study upgrading the transmission and receipt of document data, ensuring synchronization with the management application of the tax industry.
