According to the agreement, VinSpace's satellites will be put into orbit through SpaceX's Transporter Rideshare share launch program in the second quarter of 2027. This is a form of multiple customers sharing a SpaceX launch to put satellites into orbit, in which VinSpace is responsible for researching, developing, manufacturing and operating satellites after being put into orbit.
The agreement is an important foundation for VinSpace's first satellite missions. Through this, the company will test satellite modules developed by the enterprise itself, while gradually improving its ability to master the satellite system and deploying commercial applications in the future. Previously, in April 2026, VinSpace announced its plan to manufacture and put satellites into orbit in 2027.
The agreement with SpaceX is part of VinSpace's long-term strategy to build comprehensive aerospace capabilities and become a full-service private space enterprise. Accordingly, the enterprise will participate in the entire value chain including satellite design, development, assembly - integration - testing (AIT), launch mission management, satellite operation, remote sensing product development and ground space data services.
Choosing SpaceX as a launch service provider is consistent with VinSpace's orientation in cooperating with leading technology partners in the world to realize the first space missions.
Mr. Vu Trong Thu, General Director of VinSpace, shared: "The contract with SpaceX is an important step forward in VinSpace's long-term strategy, aimed at contributing to building a commercial aerospace ecosystem in Vietnam, while connecting Vietnam with the global space value chain.
The upcoming satellite missions will create a platform for VinSpace to test and verify technology in actual conditions on orbit, develop an engineering team, expand international cooperation and gradually commercialize space technology through products and services.
In the context of satellites, low-orbit satellite clusters (LEO) and space technologies increasingly playing an important role in economic growth, infrastructure security and national technological capacity, VinSpace is committed to strengthening Vietnam's space technology autonomy capacity, while bringing commercial solutions to the domestic, regional and global markets.
VinSpace, a member of the Vingroup ecosystem, was established with the vision of becoming a full-stack aerospace company.
