At Km329+700 of the Mai Son - National Highway 45 component project on the North - South expressway in the East, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) organized the Inauguration Ceremony of the Petrolimex Thanh Hoa Rest Stop Couple, marking the commissioning of a modern transportation service infrastructure project, contributing to completing the service system on the North - South expressway in the East.



Attending the ceremony, on the side of specialized management agencies were Mr. Le Anh Tuan - Deputy Minister of Construction; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Road Administration. On the side of Thanh Hoa province were Mr. Dau Thanh Tung - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives of leaders of Thang Long Project Management Board and departments, boards, and branches of the province.
On Petrolimex's side, there was Mr. Luu Van Tuyen - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the Group, along with comrades in the Party Committee, Board of Directors, General Director Board, Supervisory Board; leaders of professional departments, member units of the Group. The ceremony was also attended by the Board of Directors of Petrolimex Thanh Hoa Co., Ltd. and a large number of officials and employees of the Company.
On the side of construction and consulting units, there was Mr. Pham Minh Tam - Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Petrolimex Construction Group 1 Joint Stock Company (PCC1), the main construction contractor of the project, along with representatives of contractors and consulting units participating in the project implementation.
The Km329+700 rest stop pair project is invested on an area of more than 71,600 m2, including about 39,184 m2 on the right side of the route and 32,473 m2 on the left side of the route. This is a type I rest stop - the highest level according to current standards, invested synchronously to meet the needs of resting, refueling and using essential services of traffic participants on the North-South Expressway in the East.
Prominent at the project are a parking lot of more than 12,000 m2, a two-story service building of nearly 2,000 m2, a public toilet area, a Petrolimex fuel station, a vehicle repair and maintenance area, along with a synchronous technical infrastructure, landscape and support utilities system. The station is equipped with an electric vehicle charging system with a scale of 20 positions on each side, contributing to meeting the trend of energy transition and green transportation development in the future.


Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Road Administration assessed that putting the Km329+700 rest stop pair into operation is an important milestone in the process of completing the service system on the North-South Expressway in the East.
According to him, the project not only meets the needs of stopping to rest, refueling and using essential services of traffic participants but also contributes to improving the quality of expressway operation, creating conditions to promote local products and promote socio-economic development in the region.
The Vietnam Road Administration also acknowledged the efforts of Petrolimex, contractors, consulting units and local authorities in coordinating to remove difficulties and complete the project on schedule. At the same time, it requested Petrolimex to continue to organize the operation of the project methodically, ensuring a clean, civilized environment and service quality, thereby promoting investment efficiency and serving well the needs of people and transport businesses on the route.
Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Luu Van Tuyen - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of Petrolimex said that after more than 12 months of construction, overcoming many difficulties in weather, material supply and construction conditions, the project has been completed on schedule, ensuring quality, technical, aesthetic and safety requirements.
Investing in rest stops on the North-South expressway not only aims to meet the needs of providing fuel, services and utilities for traffic participants but also contributes to the goal of developing a modern retail network, improving service capacity and promoting the Petrolimex brand on key national traffic routes.
Immediately after being put into operation, the rest stop area attracted a large number of vehicles and people to rest and use utilities. Images of Petrolimex parking areas and fuel supply points always having many users show the great demand for a modern rest stop system on the North-South expressway, while affirming the practicality of the project.

Putting the Petrolimex Thanh Hoa Rest Stops into operation contributes to completing the service infrastructure system on the North-South Expressway in the East, creating favorable conditions for transportation and goods circulation.
The project also marks a new step forward for Petrolimex in its strategy of developing a service network on key national transport routes, associated with the task of ensuring energy supply and improving customer service quality.
