After a fairly peaceful first 2 days of the new year, the shopping and entertainment atmosphere in Ho Chi Minh City became more bustling on the 3rd day of Tet. Today, many supermarkets, shopping centers and eateries also resumed normal operation, recording a sharp increase in the number of customers.

At some large shopping centers in the city center and gateway areas, crowds flocked in. Recorded at Gigamall shopping center (Hiep Binh ward), the parking area was constantly full, security guards had to regulate vehicles entering and leaving. Inside, fashion, cosmetics, household appliances... stalls attracted a large number of people to visit and shop. Many families took advantage of the last days off to stroll the streets, combining entertainment and dining.

Not only modern shopping points, the supermarket system is also bustling no less. At Co.opmart Cong Quynh, MM Mega Market An Phu supermarkets... fresh food stalls and ready-made goods areas are always crowded with customers. Fruit, confectionery, soft drinks, and convenience food items are chosen a lot.
My family usually goes out on the 1st and 2nd of the lunar month, and on the 3rd, we spend time shopping and preparing for the upcoming working days. This year, the supermarket is more crowded than I thought, the atmosphere is very bustling" - Ms. Minh Hanh (resident of An Khanh ward) shared.
In the food service block, many restaurants, cafes, and traditional eateries operate at full capacity. Some eateries have to issue queue numbers, customers wait for tables for a few minutes. Service staff constantly move, the working atmosphere is busy but joyful.


According to a representative of a large coffee chain in Ho Chi Minh City, the number of customers on the 3rd day of Tet increased significantly compared to the previous 2 days, especially at noon and afternoon. People tend to go out more after completing the first rituals of the year. Customers mainly go with groups of friends and family.

The bustling atmosphere is also spreading at entertainment areas and cinemas. Many screenings are fully booked, especially for new films released during Tet. Ticket sales areas and water stalls always have customers coming and going continuously.
