On April 24, informing reporters, Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, said that as of April 20, 2025, the total number of vehicles transporting import and export goods through border gates, specialized roads, and customs clearance routes reached nearly 149,000 vehicles, an increase of more than 20% over the same period in 2024.
Of which, export vehicles reached over 33,600 and imported more than 115,000. Total revenue from border gate infrastructure fees reached nearly 228 billion VND, an increase of more than 20%.

The Board's leaders said that the above positive results come from a series of synchronous solutions in management, operation and facilitation of goods customs clearance.
Notably, Lang Son province has issued a decision to complete the Interdisciplinary Working Group to support import and export, applying the new "Digital Border Gate" platform to improve vehicle regulation efficiency and handle procedures quickly.
In particular, during the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program, provincial authorities have closely coordinated with the Chinese side of Muong Tuong to both ensure diplomatic activities and not disrupt trade flows at the border gate.

In addition, in the first 4 months of the year, the Management Board sent 17 working letters, organized 4 talks and welcomed many delegations from China to remove obstacles in customs clearance, promote the implementation of the smart border gate model and restore operations at secondary border gate pairs.
Some key border gates such as Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan, Chi Ma - Ai Diem have been agreed to extend working hours, maintaining customs clearance both on weekends and holidays.
To continue maintaining growth momentum, the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone said that it will speed up the planning and investment in infrastructure of the border gate area, pilot the smart border gate model; strengthen inter-sectoral coordination, and reasonably allocate vehicles during peak times to avoid congestion.

In addition, regularly monitor and update the situation at the border gate, proactively discuss with the Chinese side to extend customs clearance time and optimize inspection processes; promote the application of information technology, digital transformation in management, including the implementation of cashless fee collection.
The Board's leaders also emphasized that the consistent goal is to improve the border trade environment, creating maximum favorable conditions for businesses on both sides, thereby contributing to promoting regional economic growth.
