On July 29, the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation informed that the unit had just awarded funding to support the construction of 2 "Trade Union Shelter" houses for union members in difficult circumstances belonging to the Tan An Ward Trade Union.
Two union members supported include Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, a worker at Tay Nguyen Garment Co., Ltd. and Ms. Le Thi Thu Trang, a worker at Trung Nguyen Coffee Joint Stock Company.
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation, both families are in difficult circumstances. For many years, families have had to rent houses to live in, while having to raise young children, income is precarious because their husbands do not have stable jobs. Owning a solid house has always been a longing but exceeds the financial capacity of the family.
Understanding and sharing the difficulties of union members, the Provincial Labor Federation decided to support each family with 50 million VND from the Dak Lak Provincial Union Member Support Fund, workers, civil servants, and laborers to build houses. The total support cost in this phase is 100 million VND.
Moved when receiving support, union member Nguyen Thi Thu Hien expressed her gratitude to the Trade Union organization for always accompanying and caring about the lives of workers. This is a great source of encouragement for families to soon complete new houses, stabilize their accommodation and feel secure in sticking with the business for a long time.
The "Trade Union Shelter" program over the years has become a fulcrum for hundreds of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Dak Lak province.
Each completed house is not only a place to shelter from rain and sun but also a symbol of the spirit of sharing and solidarity. Thereby, contributing to spreading human values and affirming the companion role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
