The drone attack on Moscow last night became one of the largest in 2 years, according to TASS calculations based on data provided by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
According to the Mayor of Moscow, more than 390 drones targeted the Moscow area between 8:30 PM (Moscow time) on July 27 and 6:30 AM on July 28.
Most have been neutralized by air defense forces on long-range approach routes, while 81 enemy drones were destroyed while approaching Moscow," Mayor Sobyanin wrote on his Max social media channel.
Previously, the largest drone attack targeting the capital was recorded from the evening of July 6 to 6 am Moscow time on July 7. At that time, Mr. Sobyanin said that air defense forces had shot down more than 430 drones, including 36 near Moscow.
In addition, from about 8:30 pm (Moscow time) on July 19 to 5 am on July 20, more than 400 enemy drones flew towards the capital area. Most were neutralized on long-range approach routes, and 85 UAVs were destroyed near the city.
From 8:30 PM on July 17 to early morning on July 18, Mr. Sobyanin said "more than 370 drones flew towards the capital area", of which 64 enemy UAVs were destroyed when approaching Moscow.
