Trade unions seek out difficult lives
Implementing the program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" for union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) has established 9 working groups to directly visit, encourage and give gifts to union members in the province.

Each union member received a gift including 2 million VND in cash and items worth 300,000 VND from the care funding of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
The first visitor was Ms. Nguyen Thi T. (born in 1989), an employee of the Obstetrics Department, University Medical Center Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
She just underwent surgery to partially remove her left kidney due to a malignant tumor, and her health is still heavily affected. Currently, she is raising her young child and elderly mother alone, and also has to rent a house to live.
The working delegation also visited Ms. Tran Thi Kim L. (born in 1982), pharmacist at Ia Grai Medical Center. She is being treated for cancer after surgery, while her family's economy is facing many difficulties due to prolonged treatment costs.
Her husband works as a freelancer, with unstable income, and the family also raises two young children of school age.

The situation of Ms. Phan Thi Kim A. (born in 1991), a union member of Pleiku Mental Hospital, also moved many people. As a contract worker with low income, raising a young child alone, she also suffers from many chronic diseases, affecting her health.

Every month, she has to go to Da Nang for periodic treatment at a high cost while her economic conditions are still difficult.
At the families visited, Ms. Truong Thi My Le cordially inquired about their health, life and shared the difficulties that union members are facing.
