On the afternoon of June 15, Working Group No. 8 of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation led by Ms. Truong Thi My Le - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, Chairwoman of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union - visited and presented gifts to support union members in particularly difficult circumstances from the program "Gifts from the Congress".
The delegation arrived at the workplace of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thien (born 1989), an employee of the Obstetrics Department, University Medical Center Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
Ms. Thien suffers from a serious illness and is still continuing treatment. Currently, she is raising a young child alone and taking care of her elderly mother with cancer. The family's life is facing many difficulties when they have to rent a house to live in.
At the visit, Ms. Truong Thi My Le kindly encouraged and shared Ms. Thien's difficulties, and at the same time presented support gifts including 2 million VND in cash and necessities worth 300,000 VND from the care funding of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

According to Ms. Truong Thi My Le, the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, especially those who suffer from serious illnesses or are in difficult circumstances, is always concerned and implemented by trade union levels.
These gifts, although not of great value, show the concern and sharing of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers. We hope that union members will have more motivation and willpower to overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives and continue their work," Ms. Le shared.
Moved by the concern of the Trade Union organization, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thien expressed her gratitude to the Trade Union levels for always accompanying and supporting her in the treatment process.
According to Ms. Thien, since discovering and treating the disease, she has regularly received attention, encouragement and support in all aspects from hospital leaders, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union and colleagues.
The activity of visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances demonstrates the companion role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of workers, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual affection and adding motivation for union members to overcome adversity and rise up in life.
