Identifying the task of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers as an important task, especially listening to and understanding the aspirations of workers, in recent times, the Labor Federation of Hau Giang province has always organized many activities to care for and create connections between workers and the Trade Union organization.
Regarding the organization of the Union meal, the Unions at all levels in the province always respond enthusiastically. This is an opportunity for the Union organization, leaders of agencies, units, enterprises, and workers to share and listen, creating an atmosphere of solidarity, understanding, building trust and attachment of union members and workers (WL) to the Union organization and enterprises.
At Number One Hau Giang Company Limited, the company's grassroots trade union organized a union meal on June 6 with more than 400 meals for workers, each worth 50,000 VND (an additional value of 30,000 VND/meal compared to the daily shift meal).
Meal portions are increased by adding meat, vegetables, fruits... thereby helping employees have more delicious meals, ensuring nutrition, good health to work effectively, contributing to improving labor productivity, accompanying the overall development of the company.
Ms. Khau Hong Hanh (worker at Number One Hau Giang Company Limited) said: "The company changes the menu for meals regularly, always ensuring nutrition for workers. The food is also checked by the company for food safety and hygiene, so I feel very secure."
At Vemedim Veterinary Medicine and Biological Products Company Limited (Hau Giang province), the recent Union meal was prepared sumptuously by the Union and company leaders, ensuring nutritional quality and food hygiene and safety, supporting the value of each meal for union members and workers at the company.
According to Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, the Union meal demonstrates the mark and role of the Union organization through dialogue and negotiation with employers and the organization to improve the quality of workers' meals; to take good care of the material and spiritual life, and to build long-term welfare programs for the Union. From there, attract, gather and develop union members, closely connecting the Union with the Union organization.
According to information from the Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, in the third quarter of 2024, all levels of the provincial Union continued to enthusiastically respond to the organization of the 2024 Union meal. 79 grassroots unions under district-level unions and equivalents organized Union meals for Vietnamese workers.
