On May 31, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that Hoang Mai Ward Trade Union had just coordinated with the Ward Health Center to organize a program to donate 100 national flags and 30 medicine cabinets to Quynh Phuong Fisheries Union and Quynh Lap Fisheries Union.
This is a practical activity to care for the lives and health of union members and fishermen, and at the same time encourage people to feel secure in going offshore and sticking to the sea, developing the economy and contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Each medicine cabinet is equipped with essential medical items and medicines such as cotton bandages, medical gauze, antiseptics, pain relievers - fever reducers, anti-allergenic drugs, digestive enzymes, eye drops, insect bites cream, medical gloves and many other necessary first aid items. These medicine cabinets will support fishermen to proactively take care of their health and promptly handle initial first aid situations during labor and fishing at sea.
In addition, 100 national flags were handed over to fishermen with profound spiritual encouragement. Each flag is not only a sacred symbol of patriotism and national pride but also expresses the steadfast will to stick to the sea and preserve traditional fishing grounds of Vietnamese fishermen.
The above activities have shown the concern, responsibility and sharing of the Trade Union organization towards workers. Thereby continuing to affirm the companion role of the Trade Union in caring for life, health, and ensuring safe working conditions for union members and fishermen.
