Attending the announcement ceremony were Mr. Mai Ba Nam - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province's Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa province; Representatives of the People's Committee of Hau Loc district, the district Labor Federation and a large number of fishermen in Hau Loc district.
According to the Thanh Hoa Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union, F18 Fisheries Union of Hoa Loc Fishing Port is the second grass-roots trade union whose members are informal sector workers announced to be established in the province. Thanh Hoa (previously announced the Fisheries Union of Quang Tien ward, in Sam Son city).
The establishment of the Union aims to gather fishermen and fishery workers into the trade union, thereby propagating and mobilizing union members to well implement the Party's guidelines and the State's legal policies.
Along with that, to take care of and protect legitimate rights and interests, and to support and share difficulties with fishermen when operating at sea, helping them stabilize their spirit so they can feel secure in going out to sea.
At the ceremony, Thanh Hoa Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union announced the Decision to establish F18 Fisheries Union of Hoa Loc Fishing Port and admitted 82 union members. The interim Executive Committee of the F18 Fisheries Union of Hoa Loc Fishing Port consists of 5 people, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan was appointed as the interim Chairman.
On this occasion, representatives of the Labor Confederation of Thanh Hoa province and Thanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Rural Development gave congratulatory flowers and gifts to members of the F18 Fisheries Trade Union of Hoa Loc Fishing Port.
