Realizing that the model of raising wild bees for honey has high economic efficiency, Mr. Le Trong Hoa (Chairman of Binh Luong Commune Communist Party) researched and learned experience to raise livestock. In 2022, when he first started his business, Mr. Hoa invested in buying 30 boxes of wild bees to raise for honey. Initially, because he did not grasp the technique and had little experience, his wild bee boxes were ineffective, some had to be thrown away, so his income was not significant.
Not discouraged, he continued to research books, newspapers, the internet and learned from Mr. Le Van Ha's experience in raising wild bees - the person who passed on his passion and directly supported Mr. Hoa's wild beekeeping techniques. . Since then, he has built his wild beekeeping model and is increasingly growing.
Mr. Hoa said, to care for healthy bee colonies for high productivity and honey quality, requires hard work and carefulness from the farmer. Bee boxes need to be regularly checked and kept dry and clean. Farmers must understand the behavior of wild bees, know and identify some important diseases that wild bees often suffer from.
At the same time, identify natural food sources to promptly supplement food for the bee colony to develop stably. At the same time, it is necessary to have appropriate heat and cold protection measures for bees for each weather period.
In addition, in order for bee colonies to develop well, farmers must know techniques for separating colonies, creating queen bees, and collecting honey at the right time. Currently, Mr. Hoa's wild beekeeping farm is raising 80 colonies of wild bees for honey, each year deducting expenses for an income of over 100 million VND.
