On March 3, the first National Women's Amateur Tennis Championship in 2025 organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province officially ended after the closing ceremony, awarding prizes to athletes with high achievements.
With more than 100 players participating and giving beautiful and attractive moves in 2 days of competition, there were 40 trophies with a total prize value of 40 million VND awarded to athletes with high achievements in the following events: Women's amateur couples under 40 years old, women's amateur couples over 40 years old, men's amateur couples over 35 years old, men's amateur couples over 35 years old, men's amateur couples and women's leadership couples.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of VTF, Head of the Organizing Committee, this is the first time the national amateur women's tennis tournament has been organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation in 2025, with a new focus on the policy of socializing sports and sports economics.
The tournament is held to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 2010 - March 8, 2025), giving opportunities for female tennis players to express the beauty and talent of women in tennis; exchange, connect and participate in meaningful activities to develop the sports movement, connect the community. At the same time, it contributes to promoting and boosting tourism trade in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, said Mr. Son.
The organizing committee also organized the contest "Fasao & donation of women's movement for the first time", thereby raising 22 million VND to give 50 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Vung Tau.
