The 2024 Wheelchair Tennis & Pickleball Club Championship ended on December 5 at Hoang Long Stadium, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.
After three days of exciting competition, the tournament was not only a sports playground, but also an opportunity for disabled athletes in wheelchairs to affirm their talent, willpower, and extraordinary determination.
At the end of the tournament, Go Vap Club - Ho Chi Minh City ranked first overall when winning 4 events. Following was Tan Binh Sports and Culture Center, Ho Chi Minh City, winning 3 events.
The tournament gathered more than 100 athletes from 5 delegations across the country, much more than last year.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation - Head of the tournament's organizing committee gave an emotional closing speech, emphasizing that the tournament is not only a sports playground, but also a testament to the resilience and determination of people with disabilities. The athletes participating in the tournament demonstrated a noble sportsmanship, overcoming difficulties to reach success.

The Organizing Committee has signed a memorandum of understanding between sponsors, opening up opportunities for long-term association with the tournament. The local Organizing Committee is determined to coordinate with VTF to host the next Tennis & Pickleball Club Championship from December 3-5, 2025 and periodically in the following years.
At the closing ceremony, many sponsors also pledged to support jobs for athletes participating in the tournament, helping them have a stable livelihood to continue with their passion for sports.
The 2024 Wheelchair Tennis & Pickleball Club Championship has come to a successful conclusion. Through this tournament, the organizers hope that many localities across the country will pay attention and establish wheelchair tennis and pickleball clubs for athletes to practice and compete in the near future.
