Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee emphasized the role of swimming not only in high-performance sports competitions but also as an essential skill in life, associated with drowning prevention and control. The development of the swimming movement is identified as having important significance, contributing to improving community physical strength and ensuring safety, especially for children.
The tournament is organized to create a healthy playground, while aiming to standardize organization, expertise and competition conditions. Through this, step by step improve the quality of the tournament, build a synchronous competition system from grassroots to city level, laying the foundation for developing athletes' forces in a professional and sustainable direction.
At this year's Ho Chi Minh City Sports Festival, swimming continues to be included in the official competition program, affirming its role as a key sport. Through many congresses, swimming has always had a large number of athletes participating, making stable contributions in achievements, thereby creating a basis for the city to continue investing in training and competition.

According to the plan, the series of events to celebrate the Congress is entering the final stage with the Ho Chi Minh City Vovinam Clubs Festival, expected to be held at Thu Dau Mot University on April 26, 2026. Previously, many activities such as the dưỡng sinh and Yoga Festival, the Street Parade - Culture and Sports Program with the theme "Creating Breakthroughs - Aspiration to Rise High" associated with "Olympic Running Day For National Health - For National Security" in Tan Uyen ward, and the Pickleball Tournament were successfully organized.
Through this swimming tournament, the Organizing Committee wishes to create conditions for athletes to compete, accumulate practical experience, and strengthen exchanges between units in training work. This is also an opportunity to discover and nurture potential athletes, contributing to building a high-achievement sports force of the city in the next development phase.
