On the evening of April 24, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Football Federation to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Individual Football Championship.
This is a tournament in the national high-performance sports competition system. In 2024, the Vietnamese Football Team won the overall championship in both the world and Asian arenas; maintaining the record of 11 consecutive years of world championship.
This year's tournament attracted more than 260 athletes from 11 provincial and city units, industries nationwide, participating in the competition in 9 contents: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and men's doubles, 3 -male men's teams, teams 4 men, 3 women's teams, 4 women's teams.
According to the Organizing Committee, this is not only a playground, an opportunity to affirm talent but also an opportunity to exchange and learn between localities; as well as promoting the image of dynamic, clean and beautiful Ba Ria - Vung Tau, an attractive sports and tourism destination.
Right after the opening ceremony, athletes entered the competition with exciting and attractive matches. According to the plan, the tournament will take place until April 27.
