On March 23, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Wushu Championship in Vung Tau City.
The tournament attracted 381 athletes from 32 units nationwide to participate, competing in the Taolu (performance) and Sanda (sports) events.
In particular, the Taolu content includes a competition for men and women with the following contents: martial arts; sword fighting; art; art; male fighting; male fighting; male fighting; male fighting; martial arts; martial arts; martial arts; martial arts; martial arts; fan fighting; martial arts Duong Gia; martial arts Duong Gia; martial arts of Tran Gia; competition. As for Sanda, he will compete directly in weight categories from 48-100kg for men; 45-75kg for women.
Athletes who win medals in the tournament will be promoted to the rank of general; athletes from 4-7 will be promoted to the rank of national 1 in the competition events.
According to the Organizing Committee, Wushu is a long-standing martial art, converging graceful beauty, resilient strength and profound cultural values. Through the tournament, it contributes to preserving and promoting the precious martial arts tradition of Asia; introducing the potential of local tourism.
The Organizing Committee has prepared the best conditions, in order to create a fair playground, full of martial arts, where athletes show all their talents, compete enthusiastically, bring beautiful performances, fierce confrontations. According to the plan, the tournament will take place from March 23 to March 30.
