Group B is considered highly competitive with the participation of 5 teams including U21 Hanoi Police, U21 Dong A Thanh Hoa, U21 PVF-CAND, U21 Song Lam Nghe An and U21 Phu Dong Youth.
According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the qualifying round of the 2026 National U21 Championship has the participation of 17 teams, divided into 4 groups competing in Hanoi, Hung Yen, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai in a round-robin format to calculate points and rank.
At the end of the qualifying round, the top 4 teams in each group, 4 second-placed teams and 3 third-placed teams with the best results will win the right to enter the final round. If the host team of the final round is in the group of 11 teams with the best results after the qualifying round, the remaining spot will be awarded to the next third-placed team with the highest results.
According to the schedule, groups A, C and D will kick off simultaneously from June 30. In group A (Hanoi), U21 PVF will face U21 Hanoi Bulls, and U21 The Cong Viettel will face U21 Hanoi. In group C (HCMC), U21 Gia Lai Provincial Training and Sports Competition Center will face U21 Da Nang, while U21 HCMC will face U21 Hoang Anh Gia Lai. In group D (Dong Nai), U21 An Giang will face U21 Tay Ninh and U21 Dong Nai will face U21 Mekong Can Tho.
The qualifying round of the 2026 National U21 Championship takes place from June 25 to July 5. According to the VFF's plan, the final round will be held from July 12 to July 25.
