On the afternoon of April 18, at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a launching ceremony in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day on April 21, in conjunction with the launching of the Nghe An Provincial Reading Culture Ambassador Contest in 2025.

The event was attended by representatives of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, departments, branches, Vinh City People's Committee, along with a large number of students, union members, youth and people. In particular, the program has the participation of 12 publishing and distribution units inside and outside the province, with nearly 40 book stalls and mobile bookshelves serving readers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - called on all people, teachers, students, union members, and soldiers to actively participate in responding to Book Day and the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest.
According to Ms. Hanh, this is a practical activity to honor the value of books, build a reading habit in the community and promote the tradition of studiousness of Nghe An.
Right after the launching ceremony, many meaningful activities took place such as: giving gifts to students at SOS Vinh Kindergarten, giving a reading culture bookcase to support learning conditions and arouse children's passion for books.

This year's program carries the message: "Reading culture - Connecting the community", "enter the era of national growth with books", "Reading books - enrich knowledge, nurture aspirations, promote innovation and creativity".
The Book Fair to celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will take place from April 18 to 20, on the Ho Tung Mau walking street (Vinh City), with many activities such as: book exhibition, author-reader exchange, book display about Nghe An and President Ho Chi Minh, introduction of children's books, sale and free donation of books to readers.
The event is an opportunity to honor books, bookmakers and individuals and groups that have contributed to the development of reading culture, while contributing to building a learning society and sustainable development.
