The event was attended by representatives of football teams, sponsors and accompanying units in the field of grassroots football.
The tournament is organized by TPG Media and Education Joint Stock Company. This is a unit that has deployed many grassroots playgrounds in Ho Chi Minh City such as the Journey of Love, the Four Heroes of the Ta Pha 7-a-side Super Cup or the Tiger Cup 2025. This year, TPG has brought the 6-a-side football format (6vs6) into the competition system, hoping to create new options for the grassroots playground in Vietnam.
According to the Organizing Committee, the TPG6v6 - Care For Vietnam Cup 2025 is considered the first step in the plan to expand the 6vs6 model to the national scale from 2026. The tournament received the support of many brands, of which Care For Vietnam is the main sponsor.
This year's tournament brings together 14 teams, including: 36 Hoang Nong Thanh Hoa, Ho Phuoc Tay Ninh, OCB Ho Chi Minh City, CTG Binh Dinh, Co Do Hue, Ta Pha Nghia Ky, Blockchain HUB HCMC, Xanh Minh Canh Ca Mau Construction, Xanh Vu Binh Thuan Construction, 8x Thanh Nam Nam Dinh, Gia Bao Thai Binh, Cong Anh Hung Phat Hoa Phuong Do, Khoi Nguyen Binh Dinh and Thien Kim Quang Nam.
The new point of the tournament is the application of the Swiss Round format (Swiss- system), instead of traditional group division. Accordingly, the teams are drawn by opponents in each round, accumulating points and selecting the top 8 teams to the knockout round. This form is expected to create balance, increase the number of quality matches and help the teams have more opportunities to compete.
Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Organizing Committee - Master, Lawyer Vo Dan Mach said that TPG's goal is to expand the movement playground in the direction of approaching international tournaments: "6vs6 football is widely recognized in the world and gathers many teams from different countries. This will be the basis for us to research and build a national tournament in the future.
The tournament will take place from December 13 to 21. The champion team received 30 million VND, cups and medals; the runner-up received 10 million VND and the third place team received 6 million VND. The organizing committee also awarded individual titles including Top Scorer, Outstanding Player and Outstanding Goalkeeper, each worth 1 million VND.
