More professional e-sports teams at EA Sports FC Online

With a long-term vision, FPT Shop officially launched the Professional E-Sports team competing in the EA Sports FC Online sport called FPT Shop FC Online.

The team's debut ceremony took place on May 7 in Ho Chi Minh City. This is not only a new step forward in the journey to conquer the field of E-sports, but also clearly demonstrates FPT Shop's serious investment orientation to spread the spirit of e-sports, adding a passion for the young gaming community in Vietnam.

The establishment of the team is a testament to the commitment of the management unit in creating new values, where technology not only serves the needs of use but is also associated with the emotions, experiences and lifestyle of the younger generation.

The newly established Esports team brings together promising faces, a harmonious combination of youth, enthusiasm and competition experience, promising to bring dramatic and eye-catching matches in the upcoming season.

The official lineup includes: Tran Trung Hieu (Central) - Captain, veteran player, Top 1 FC Online Vietnam Pro League Autumn 2024; Tran Minh Khoi (Vermise) - Top 4 FC Online Vietnam Pro League Autumn 2024; Tra Anh Duy (Jugend) - Top 5 FC Online Vietnam Pro League Autumn 2024; Truong Thanh Dat (Des) - Top 12 FC Online Vietnam Pro League Autumn 2024.

In the context that e-sports has been included in the official competition program of the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) and has been strongly socialized, with the cooperation of many large technology enterprises, ESports is showing strong development potential.

According to the Vietnam E-Sports Whitebook 2022-2023 published by the Vietnam E-Sports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA) in collaboration with OTA Network, the e-sports market in Southeast Asia will be priced at 14.8 billion USD in 2024 and is forecast to increase to 14.93 billion USD in 2029, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 0.19%.

In Vietnam alone, about 28.2 million people are participating in e-entertainment activities, equivalent to 28.7% of the population. Of these, more than 10 million people are audiences who regularly watch e-sports tournaments, putting Vietnam in the group of countries with the largest Esports viewership community in the region.
