On the afternoon of October 17, Hospital 199 (Ministry of Public Security) in collaboration with Mobifone organized the "199 Digital Innovation Forum 2025" with the theme "Innovation in digital healthcare", to create a forum for connecting experts, technology enterprises and medical staff in the context of strong digital transformation of the industry.
The forum brings together many leading experts and managers in the fields of technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on exchanging urgent contents such as: Application of technology in building smart and energy-saving hospitals; Application of AI in medical training; electronic medical records (EMR) in the data and AI era; application of artificial intelligence in diagnostics and management of smart hospitals; data management and information security in medical digital transformation.
Within the framework of the program, an in-depth seminar with the theme "Practical solutions for smart hospitals in Vietnam" was also organized, creating a multi-dimensional dialogue space between experts and managers to find feasible solutions for the digital healthcare system.
According to BSCKII Tran Quang Phap - Deputy Director of Hospital 199 - Ministry of Public Security, the forum "199 Digital Innovation Forum 2025" with the theme "Innovation in digital healthcare" took place in the context of Vietnam's drastic implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, aiming to become a developed, high-income country by 2045.
Currently, Hospital 199 - Ministry of Public Security is considered one of the units with a good information technology system, having applied many scientific and technological achievements in healthcare such as: artificial intelligence (AI) in diagnostic imaging, application on mobile platform (Mobile), upgrading the HIS - LIS - PACS system, and the intelligent hospital management system (VAC) since 2018.
Hospital 199 is also a leading unit in researching and implementing electronic medical records, inviting many leading experts to participate before 2021. By December 2023, the Ministry of Public Security Hospital was recognized by the Ministry of Health as the first unit to deploy electronic medical records in Da Nang.
"To achieve this result, the hospital has focused on building a strong digital technology platform, but also training a team of highly qualified staff and employees. The most important thing is still changing the mindset, because changing the mindset of all the more than 650 officers and employees is not a simple matter.
During that process, the hospital received the support and assistance of many partner units. In particular, the hospital has built an Innovation Center, the first and so far the only center in the country in the field of public health. From this center, many new technologies have been researched and applied in practice, in which some models have been widely deployed in many other medical units across the country," Mr. Phap emphasized.
