The development process of iPhone Fold is facing technical barriers in testing, causing the launch date of this product to be at risk of being pushed back.

Apple is facing increasing challenges in the technical testing phase of the first folding phone model, raising concerns that the iPhone Fold may be delayed compared to the initial mass production plan.

According to reputable sources from the supply chain, the complexity in developing this new device is much greater than expected. Technical issues that have not been thoroughly resolved are threatening to push back the launch of this blockbuster by a few more months.

Internal sources revealed that some Apple component suppliers have been informed of the possibility of having to adjust production schedules. Although not all partners are affected, this disruption shows the scale of technical barriers that the US technology giant is trying to overcome.

Insiders affirm that the core cause does not lie in the shortage of components, but stems from internal challenges in the design of foldable screen technology. Balancing the durability of flexible panels and the reliability of hinge mechanisms in actual usage conditions is the most difficult problem.

At the present time, Apple and its partners are under extremely great pressure to solve the above problems. The period of April and May is considered the golden time for the final technical verification tests.

This process requires repeated testing on thousands of prototypes to fine-tune the design. If the error is not fixed soon, the risk of iPhone Fold being pushed back to shelves is completely real.

Despite the current technical barriers, Apple's long-term strategy for this device is still very ambitious. The company is said to have planned for the first production batch of about 7 to 8 million units. Although this number is relatively modest compared to the company's total annual output, the appeal of folding devices is still huge.

The appearance of iPhone Fold on the market is expected to create a new turning point, reshaping the high-end phone segment and creating a strong counterweight to predecessors.
