On June 2, the leader of Nha Trang City People's Committee informed about the enrollment plan for grade 1, school year 2025-2026.
A new point in the first grade enrollment plan this year, Nha Trang City People's Committee requires localities and schools to create favorable conditions and arrange enough space for students in Ninh Thuan province to work in Khanh Hoa province after reorganizing and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of organizing local government at both levels.
Nha Trang City currently has 39 primary schools, in the 2025-2026 school year, the enrollment target for grade 1 is 193 classes with 7,299 students.
According to the plan, before June 13, the People's Committees of communes and wards will review, publicize and hand over the list of first-grade enrollment to schools. From June 16-24, schools will complete enrollment and send reports to professional agencies before June 30.
The principle of admission to the correct level of first-grade admission is divided by commune and ward area. For communes and wards with 2 or more primary schools, depending on the actual situation, the principals of the schools, together with the Admissions Steering Committee of communes and wards, shall prescribe appropriate enrollment routes.
For children in the area assigned to the school, the People's Committees at the commune and ward levels provide a list; the commune-level police confirm the child's personal identification number and residence information.
In case the police agency at the commune or ward level confirms that the child is not eligible for permanent/temporary residence registration but actually lives in the area, the school must arrange for the child to study at school if there are still targets.
If the quota has expired, the school will make a list, with confirmation from the People's Committee at the commune and ward levels, and send it to the City Admissions Steering Committee to arrange a place for children to study.
For admission documents from other sources, the Admissions Council conducts a meeting to review, ensure publicity, transparency and collect documents and send them to the City Admissions Steering Committee for consideration, the number of which cannot exceed 3 documents/class.
For the target of enrolling in the first grade of French according to the 2018 general education program, the City People's Committee assigned Xuong Huan Primary School to implement. The condition for opening a class must be 20 students or more.
Nha Trang City also requires communes and wards to ensure the rate of mobilizing 6-year-old children to grade 1 is 100%. The notice of first-grade admission must be widely posted for parents and the community to know and post the list throughout the admission process. In the summer, schools are not allowed to organize advance teaching for first graders.
