In May 2025, many farming households returned to growing chili after the interruption caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.
CJ has supported free chili varieties, fertilizers, and pesticides for people participating in growing chili. KOICA has sent Korean volunteers and experts directly to the Tam Ngan area to support the project.
Previously, people planted 1 crop/year, but now the project has promoted planting twice/year. The project initially planned to grow 3 hectares of chili this year, but will increase to 5 hectares due to the increase in the number of people registered to grow. The output of papaya is estimated at 3.64 tons.
In particular, Ninh Thuan chili powder product - a "For the Community" product has officially returned to shelves at Bach Hoa Xanh supermarket chain, Co.op Mart, marking an important step in restoring the value chain from production to consumption.
"Looking at the ripe red peppers in the fields and chili powder products born from the consensus of the community, we believe in the sustainable development model. CJ wants the project to continue to be strengthened and expanded to improve the income and life of local farmers," CJ representative in Vietnam shared.
