On September 16, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Can Tho City held a meeting with excellent student teams, teachers to train excellent high school student teams to compete in the National exam for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
According to the draft Plan for organizing training and coaching of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the city has 222 candidates, with 10 teams of excellent high school students competing at the national level in the subjects of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, French and IT.
The time to organize the training will be divided into 2 stages. Phase 1 is expected to start from September 18, with online training. The main point of the exam is located in one of the clusters, the remaining clusters have students concentrating on online learning.
Students of the recruitment teams choose training clusters to ensure convenient travel; with locations including Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted (Cai Rang Ward), Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School for the Gifted (Soc Trang Ward) and Vi Thanh High School for the Gifted (Vi Thanh Ward).
Phase 2, training is concentrated in the form of direct learning with experts at Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted. If necessary, it can be held in the evenings during training and development.
The time of the Departure Ceremony of the teams is scheduled for December 22. Can Tho City sets a target that each team must make progress in the tournament, compared to 2025 and an average of 10 consecutive tournaments (from 2015 - 2025).
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tang - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City - emphasized that the city will create favorable conditions for teachers to participate in training and students to participate in excellent student teams to feel secure, focusing on reviewing and preparing for the exam.
At the same time, it requires members participating in the training of excellent student teams to implement flexible, creative and effective plans. In particular, it is necessary to proactively research and develop content for review, training and coaching programs.
