Attending and speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Thanh Trung - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts of the entire city's Education sector in the 2025-2026 school year.
Highly agreeing with the theme of the 2026 - 2027 school year being "Innovation in thinking - Strong changes - Substantial results", the Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee requested the Education sector to focus on 7 key task groups: improving organizational performance capacity, innovating governance; ensuring the education system operates smoothly, effectively, and efficiently; creating substantial changes in education quality; maintaining discipline, honesty, fairness and comprehensive development of learners; focusing on solving bottlenecks in the teaching staff, considering this as a prerequisite for education quality.
The Education sector ensures schools, equipment and digital infrastructure, invests in the right needs, right focus and efficiency; puts learners at the center; cares for the development of personality, health, safety and happiness of each student; links vocational education, higher education and scientific research with the city's human resource development strategy; builds Hai Phong into a member of UNESCO's "Global Learning City" Network, promoting lifelong learning.
Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee emphasized that building Hai Phong into a member of the "Global Learning City" Network is not only a title goal but must become a human development program; expand lifelong learning opportunities in schools, families, communities, workplaces and the digital environment; fully prepare conditions for the city to participate in the network in 2027 in a substantive and sustainable way.
At the conference, collectives and individuals with outstanding and typical achievements were commended by the President, the Prime Minister, and the Chairman of the City People's Committee. In which, the Third-class Labor Medal of the President was awarded to Mr. Le Van Luc - Principal of Nguyen Trai Specialized High School, Mr. Bui Huu Hai - Vice Principal of Nguyen Trai Specialized High School and Mr. Pham Hoang Hung - former Principal of Hong Bang High School; the Prime Minister's emulation flag was awarded to 2 collectives, the Prime Minister's certificate of merit to 20 individuals. The Chairman of the City People's Committee awarded Emulation Flags to 8 collectives, the title "Excellent Labor Collective" to 21 collectives and certificates of merit to 74 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2025-2026 school year.
