On November 6 and 7, the Hanoi Department of Construction organized a training course for urban management staff of 126 communes and wards to enhance professional skills and legal knowledge on state management of construction and transportation.
According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, in the context of the two-level local government apparatus that has just come into operation, along with many changes in the team of professional staff of communes and wards; the legal system, policy mechanisms on housing, development and urban management also have many important adjustments and supplements; especially the contents of decentralization and delegation of the City People's Committee.
Updating, fostering knowledge, and improving state management capacity in the construction sector is an urgent requirement, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of grassroots government operations.
The training course was attended by over 200 leaders, managers and civil servants of the specialized agency for Construction of communes and wards of Hanoi City.
Mr. Dao Duy Phong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Construction, emphasized that training and improving the capacity of the team of state management officials at the commune and ward levels is an urgent requirement to meet the tasks in the new period, especially after implementing the 2-level local government model according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.
The training course is an opportunity for students to fully update new regulations and discuss and remove obstacles in the practical application of laws in localities.

In the context of Hanoi continuing to urbanize strongly, improving the quality of staff, equipping them with legal knowledge and professional skills will contribute to improving the quality of service for people and businesses.
The training program ended with a survey experience program at a number of projects and urban areas in the city.
The course was delivered by Deputy Director of the Urban Development Department (Ministry of Construction) Nguyen Manh Khoi, lecturers from the Strategy and Training Academy for Officials of the Ministry of Construction and Heads of the Department of Construction's Professional Departments directly to convey and discuss, and answer problems arising from the grassroots.
Through the training course, it is expected to help students effectively apply their knowledge to local management practices, contributing to the overall development of the Capital Construction industry.
