According to Dong Thap Portal, by August 29, all Dong Thap students in all grades had returned to school (more than 660,000 students), officially entering the new school year.
After implementing the policy of merging Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces, the education system of the (new) Dong Thap province has a fairly large scale, the area is spread out with 1,084 public educational institutions, basically meeting the learning needs in both urban and rural areas. Of which, there are 360 preschools, 390 primary schools, 254 secondary schools, and 80 high schools.
The whole province of Dong Thap has nearly 37,000 cadres, teachers and employees working, most of whom are qualified, many teachers exceeding the standards, have political courage, professional ethics and a spirit of innovation and creativity.
To date, 100% of educational institutions have connected to industry databases; many schools have deployed electronic records, digital learning materials, piloted "smart classroom", "digital school"; international cooperation and exchange activities are increasingly expanded.
Entering the new school year 2025 - 2026, the education sector of the province continues to innovate management methods, perfect mechanisms and policies, promote decentralization and delegation of authority associated with accountability and increase autonomy for educational institutions associated with caring for and developing the team of teachers and managers, considering this a breakthrough.
Dong Thap province aims to improve the quality of comprehensive education, linking training with social needs, which is expected to contribute to enhancing the image of a dynamic and studious province to domestic and foreign friends.
