The children's painting contest "Free Eyes - You Draw Sharp Summer" is organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Saigon Eye Nearsightedness Control Center and Nearsightedness Control Center - Cao Thang Specialized Eye Hospital, in coordination with Suoi Tien Cultural Tourist Area.
The total prize value of the contest is up to 150 million VND, including many attractive gifts. The contest is implemented nationwide for children from 4 to 15 years old.
The works will be evaluated based on criteria of idea, message, creativity, composition, color and performance skills.
The time to receive entries for the Preliminary Round is from June 10 to the end of July 25, 2026. The judges will score and select the top 10 contestants to participate in the Direct Final Round at the Award Ceremony, expected to take place in early August. The competition is divided into 2 groups, group A for children from 4 to 7 years old, group B for children from 8 to 15 years old.
The contest is organized to create a healthy and useful playground for children during the summer; encourage children to develop their creativity through painting, strengthen outdoor practical experience activities, and limit the time spent using electronic devices.
In addition, through the contest, parents and the community also raise awareness about the importance of caring for and protecting children's vision in the context of increasing school nearsightedness rates.
The contest with the theme "Summer through my lens", children freely create with many rich contents such as exploring nature, playing with family and friends, participating in environmental protection activities or expressing colorful summer dreams. Through each entry, the program wants to spread the message of a dynamic summer, rich in imagination, balancing between studying, playing and using controlled electronic devices, contributing to protecting bright and healthy eyes for future generations.
Also at the launching ceremony, the exchange session with eye experts, painters, fine arts teachers at all levels, parents and children will present practical perspectives as a symbol of the joint efforts of families, schools, experts and the community in creating an environment for children to develop comprehensively.
