Ho Chi Minh City guides high school graduation exam preparation for 2026 for continuing education

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requests continuing education units to organize review according to capacity, avoid spreading out, and ensure effectiveness before the 2026 high school graduation exam.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) has just issued a document guiding the organization of high school graduation exam review in 2026 for the continuing education system, sent to continuing education centers, vocational education centers - continuing education and schools that teach this program.

Accordingly, units are required to closely follow the structure and format of the high school graduation exam from 2025 issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, and at the same time proactively develop review plans, compile a system of questions and exercises suitable for students.

The organization of review must be differentiated according to capacity, academic results, aspirations for exam subjects and the needs of students. The Department emphasized not to organize rampant review, not for the right subjects, causing waste and inefficiency.

Units need to diversify review forms, strengthen the application of information technology, effectively exploit digital learning resources and digital lectures; at the same time, promote guidance for students to self-study and review in groups.

Regarding organizational conditions, educational institutions must arrange full classrooms, self-study rooms, libraries... to create favorable conditions for students to review. The assignment of teachers needs to comply with current regulations, prioritizing teachers who are teaching grade 12 to ensure continuity in monitoring and supporting students.

At the same time, units must organize for officials, teachers and students to learn the new high school graduation exam regulations, in order to ensure that the exam takes place seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations. The Department also encourages the organization of mock exams to assess review results and help students get acquainted with the exam process, but must ensure that it is suitable for reality, safe and effective.

In addition, educational institutions need to strengthen coordination with parents in supporting students to develop reasonable review plans, ensuring health, nutrition and spirit. Psychological counseling, career orientation and career selection support are also required to be promoted in this period.
