On October 21, Jiuzhaigou held the opening ceremony of Course 26 - Regular University System for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Attending were leaders of departments, branches, universities, unions in the area, representatives of agencies, businesses and scholarship sponsors.
In his opening speech, Meritorious Teacher Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - Principal of Cuu Long University said that after more than 25 years of construction, the school has trained more than 42,000 bachelors and engineers, over 1,200 masters; currently training 38 undergraduate majors, 11 master's majors, 4 doctoral majors, with more than 35,000 students and 1,226 lecturers, nearly 41% with high academic titles.
In the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school welcomed 3,036 new students, of which 32 were students from Laos and Cambodia. The school awarded 06 valedictorians and secondary schools; 32 full scholarships to Khmer students (VND 2.1 billion); 262 scholarships to disadvantaged students (VND 644 million); exempted and reduced tuition fees for 1,617 students of nearly VND 6.3 billion.
"In addition, each student will receive 100,000 VND on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of its establishment, the total cost of rewards and scholarships is nearly 9.8 billion VND", the Principal of Mekong University added.
The school continues to innovate training programs, develop capacity, professional skills and creative thinking for students, and expand international cooperation.
