On December 27, at Vuon Dau Park, Di An Ward People's Committee organized the program "Exchange hazardous waste to receive gifts in 2025", attracting many people from 19 neighborhoods in the area to participate.
From early morning, people brought hazardous waste generated in family activities to the program venue to exchange gifts, create a lively atmosphere, and spread environmental protection awareness in the community.

With the motto "Waste sorting - Small actions, big meaning; Living civilized - Green, clean, beautiful streets", the program sends a message calling on people to join hands to build a friendly living environment.
At the program, people brought hazardous waste with high potential for pollution such as light bulbs, batteries, batteries, pesticide shells, damaged electronic devices... to exchange vouchers and receive environmentally friendly items such as cob baskets, bamboo baskets, especially exchanging garbage for green trees. The total number of gifts awarded was nearly 2,000 products.
According to records, on the same morning, the program collected about 500 kg of hazardous waste from households. All of this waste was separately sorted right at the receiving point and handed over to functional units for treatment in accordance with regulations.

Leaders of Di An Ward People's Committee said that the "Exchange hazardous waste for gifts" activity not only contributes to safe collection and treatment of hazardous waste, but also helps form the habit of sorting waste at source in the residential community. This is a practical solution to limit the situation of hazardous waste being discarded in the wrong places, causing environmental pollution of soil, water and air.

Ward leaders also emphasized that the program associated with maintaining streets without trash cans has been implemented in the area in the past, aiming to build a bright - green - clean - beautiful, civilized and livable Di An urban area.
