On February 15, in the coastal area and port area of the Command (BTL) of Coast Guard Region 4, the Youth Union and the Women's Union of the unit simultaneously launched a campaign to clean up and sanitize the marine environment.
After more than 2 hours of deployment, the unit has cleaned, collected nearly 1 ton of waste of all kinds and brought them to the right treatment site according to regulations; contributing to building the environmental landscape of the Command of the Region and joining hands to protect the marine environment.
The activity also promoted the core role of the Youth Union and the Women's Union through practical and effective programs such as " Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday" ... attracting a large number of officers and soldiers to participate.
Colonel Duong Xuan Dung, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Regional Command, shared: The activities of cleaning, collecting waste, and protecting the marine environment have the enthusiastic and active participation of union members and association members, responding to Phu Quoc Environmental Day. Activities have gradually become a beautiful cultural feature at the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, contributing to spreading the spirit of marine environmental protection. This is both a common task and a responsibility and obligation of each officer and soldier of the Region".
