On July 15, information from Vinh Thuy Commune Police (Quang Tri province), before the risk of drowning accidents tending to increase in the summer, the unit coordinated with Fire and Rescue Team No. 3 and Vinh Thuy Commune Youth Union to survey and install warning signs for drowning prevention and control in areas of rivers, lakes, and dams that are at risk of unsafety.
Warning signs are arranged in easy-to-observe locations, helping people, especially children and parents, identify deep and dangerous water areas to proactively prevent and limit accidents.
According to Vinh Thuy Commune Police, this activity contributes to strengthening drowning prevention solutions, while raising awareness and responsibility of families, schools and communities in child protection work.

Reality shows that many tragic drowning incidents occur due to the subjectivity of adults or children lacking skills to recognize and handle situations when exposed to the water environment. Therefore, functional forces recommend that families need to strengthen management and supervision of their children; do not let children arbitrarily swim or play at rivers, lakes, ponds, and dams when no adults accompany them; and proactively equip children with drowning prevention and self-protection skills.
With the motto of prioritizing prevention, in the coming time, Vinh Thuy Commune Police will continue to coordinate with departments and mass organizations to promote propaganda and review potential risk areas to promptly implement safety measures, contributing to limiting drowning accidents in the area.
