On July 4, Hue City Police said that the unit had just organized the opening of a cultural and sports exchange program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Forces (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2026).
The program was attended by police leaders of Sekong, Salavan, Sa Van Na Khet, Cham Pa Sac provinces (Laos); representatives of the Hue City Military Command, Hue University, and leaders, officers, and soldiers of Hue City Police.
The activity gathered delegations from Hue City Police, Hue City Military Command, Hue University and Police of four provinces of Laos, creating a space for exchange and learning, contributing to strengthening solidarity and cooperation between units.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Duong Van Thoan - Deputy Director of Hue City Police said that the program is an opportunity to review the glorious traditions of the People's Security Forces, educate patriotism, arouse emulation spirit and improve the spiritual and cultural life of officers and soldiers.
In particular, the participation of the Police of Sekong, Salavan, Sa Van Na Khet and Cham Pa Sac provinces contributes to consolidating the traditional friendly and special solidarity relationship between the Vietnamese - Lao Police forces in general and between Hue City Police and the Police of localities of Laos in particular.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the delegations performed many art performances praising the Party, Uncle Ho, homeland, country, People's Police soldiers and Vietnam - Laos friendship. The performances were elaborately staged, imbued with the cultural identity of each locality, creating a lively atmosphere and deep solidarity.
According to the plan, on July 4, the delegations will continue to compete in three sports including 7-a-side men's football, tug-of-war and iron balls, contributing to strengthening exchanges and further tightening solidarity and friendship between units.
