On August 14, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Phong Du Ha Commune Police had just coordinated to verify and return lost property to people and praised citizens for their beautiful and honest actions when picking up lost property and returning it to the loser.
Previously, on the same morning, Mr. Khuong Van Thuc (born in 1976, residing in Trat Hut village, Dong Cuong commune, Lao Cai province) came to the headquarters of Phong Du Ha Commune Police to report picking up a black wallet.
Inside the wallet were 1,625,000 VND in cash and many important papers.
After receiving the information, Phong Du Ha Commune Police quickly proceeded to verify and find the owner of the wallet.
Through verification, the police force identified the owner of the property as Mr. Ban Xành Phây (born in 1966, residing in Khe Đóm village, Phong Dụ Hạ commune).
The commune police then contacted Mr. Phây's family and invited Ms. Bàn Mùi Ton (born in 1996, Mr. Phây's daughter-in-law) to the headquarters to receive the property back.
Receiving back the wallet along with the money and papers inside, Ms. Ban Mui Ton, on behalf of the family, expressed her joy and thanked Mr. Khuong Van Thuc.
According to Ms. Ton, Mr. Thuc's proactive reporting and returning the found property is a beautiful act, showing honesty and a sense of responsibility to the community.
The family also sent thanks to Phong Du Ha Commune Police for quickly receiving information, verifying and supporting the family to recover lost property.
Mr. Khuong Van Thuc's action of picking up lost items and returning them to the person who lost them, although simple, is of practical significance.
This work contributes to spreading good values, raising sense of responsibility, honesty and spirit of mutual support in the community.
Through the incident, Phong Du Ha Commune Police also showed a sense of responsibility in receiving information, verifying and supporting people to solve problems arising from the grassroots level.
