On the morning of August 13, Hai Phong City Police informed that through grasping the situation in cyberspace, Kien An Ward Police discovered that the Facebook account of Ms. N.T. T (born in 1967, residing in Kien An ward) had acts of sharing and spreading articles from some accounts and websites with reactionary, distorted, and false content.
Kien An Ward Police invited Ms. N.T. T to the headquarters to work to clarify the act of sharing and spreading information with distorted and untrue content. At the working session, Ms. N.T. T clearly realized that her actions violated the law, and at the same time realized the responsibility of social network users in posting, sharing and spreading information.
Ms. N.T. T has proactively removed the posts and contents she shared; committed not to re-offend, not to continue posting, sharing, or spreading distorted, untrue information or content violating the law on social networks.
Kien An Ward Police recommends that people raise awareness and responsibility when using social networks; proactively verify and authenticate information before posting, commenting or sharing. When detecting information showing signs of falsehood, distortion, incitement or violation of the law in cyberspace, people should proactively notify functional agencies for timely verification and handling according to regulations.
